Feeling down in the mouth

My assistant manager was on holiday last week, so I had to work six full days and what an horrendously busy week it was too. I woke up this morning and still had to do my weekly figures and enter my stock control. 'Tis great to be able to work unpaid at home! I am so fed up I think I can't do this for much longer, certainly not another summer season. Coupled with the business of the shop I have also had to suffer abuse from customers who are annoyed that I am trying to restock the shop which has been totally demolished. At least we are now closed for a couple of days. Thank goodness for Bank holidays.

Next Saturday we will be off on our holiday to the Lake District. Carol and Dave phoned last night to say that they had arrived there and it is a nice caravan site with it's own dog walk. We will be joining them for their second week. It can't come soon enough.

It'll be nice to see the the four dogs enjoying themselves together. Annie has been a teenage delinquent lately. We have had a bird's nest in the garden and one of the chicks has been learning to fly, except that Annie has had it in her mouth three times that we know of. She has brought it into the house twice. At least she has been gentle and it doesn't seem any worse for being carried up our stairs by the young whippet!

Yawns

I've yet to test this out as Amber and Annie are asleep at the moment

Photo overload

Day off work tomorrow, yeah. Days off and Sundays are all I look forward to these days, the not so super shop is soooo busy and I get so tired of it.

The weekend before last daughter, son-in-law, Eric and Tinker stayed. All the dogs get on well together and new addition to the pack Miss Tinker is so quiet and such a lovely dog. Still a bit timid but that's from her past life living in a shed and being a worker. Now she is a proper family pet. We took them all to Talacre beach for a good run but unfortunately it was very muddy as you can see from Amber's legs in the last photo. Dogs didn't seem to mind though!

Daughter mentioned that they were going on holiday to the Lake District for a fortnight, last week in August and first week in September. So hubby and I have managed to get the first week in September off and have booked a week's holiday at the same caravan park. Daughter is pleased as the dogs are sure to have a good time. We all went to the same area a couple of years ago but different camp site, and of course we only had Amber then and Eric was an only dog! It was a very good holiday. We found a few dog friendly pubs too. So really looking forward to our holiday, with just over three weeks to go.

Last Sunday hubby and I went for a few games of prize bingo. The things we do to unwind! Seeing as I am doing a photo overload I have to show you what we won. A jumbo remote control!!!!
